Sure shot of Success for May 11 Exam
Dear Students and members
CA exam both final and I P C C results was declared . Congratulation for those who had cleared their exams and best of luck for those who fail the exam. I am giving some rescue plan for those who had failed their exam.
Most contradictory part that if we given advise to the students, they will simply ignore it, otherwise they have a reason that no one is there for guidance.
Those who had failed must require some corrections in their part. Our mind has counter defense mechanism provided if you have “Confidence”.
For clearing your exam in May exam, first you think about how to utilize your time more effectively. CA is simply an achievable task. But why you can’t achieve it?? Only one answer towards that your improper plan and improper execution of the plan. I am not blaming you.
But if you want to become a successful Person in your life, you have to suffer a lot of pain. “No pain No gain” basis. Even if you are under performed in any of your CA exam, have chance provided if you execute as mentioned below.
Bring all the possible effort to accomplish the goal. Do it “Do or Die basis”
“Failure is a right step to begin wise again” (Henry ford quote)
How you will start wisely your preparation towards exam? First never be compromise over the conceptual parts while you learn. Be perfect, so that you can achieve excellence.
Having failed in spite of your best effort, simply say miserable, but it is life, some time you have to suffer such negative state of mind for your better future. So start right now.
Think that you have to do your level best , sacrifice your mind and bodies towards studies only. You see the coming exam and result will be yours. It is the confidence and your great effort that even ICAI cannot deny your success. But you have to do following corrections in your part.
1.Analyze where you had committed wrong??
Some key indicators
Costing, SFM failed: - You have to improve more on conceptual part, have to do more problems so that you will be master in problem solving part. Never look for any solutions. Find most time for solving problems without impairing the importance of other papers also.
Accounts failed :- You have to improve the fundamental entry part first, second must have a good conceptual clarity, third you require more practice with respect to improve your problem solving speeds. Further, you must require a good knowledge of Accounting standards, GAAP, IFRS, etc…
Audit failed: - you have to refer best reference book first (Padhuka), second never make compromise over SA, AS, CARO report. Third, you have to do more revisions, analyze past practical questions of ICAI. Good presentation. You have to write all the relevant points in an adhesive manner. Try to write own words the conceptual part. Never compromise over making good notes, more revisions.
Law paper failed:_ You require best reference book ( Munish bandhari), good conceptual understanding of law points. Refer past practical questions, make good notes and more number of repetition and good presentation in exam. Connection with all the relevant part.
Tax paper Failed: - you require a good reference book (Many Books), Good conceptual understanding of taxation. Recent amendments applicable for your exam and past questions of ICAI exam and better presentation over exam
Infotec, ICSA, failed :- Discard ICAI material first. (Dinesh madan). Good understanding of logic is required. Refer ICAI past questions. Good notes preparation and good number of revisions before exam.
2. Make a good time table to cover effectively your syllabus. Make a provision for revision part, Mock test. Try to find more times with studies and all the possible hard work for May exam.
3. Adopt Read, Understand, memories and document technique for all the theory questions along with frequent revisions.
3. Adopt a good presentation mechanism for exam. Point to point presentation is better. Give a tittle which indicate what is the inside matter. Try to write your way. Try to add values ( extra relevant point which is not in the book).
4. Keep away negative thought , surfing the net. If you failed please remember that you are under utilized your power of your brain. Utilize to the level best.
5.Try to find a small group for combined studies, such method is very good as far as revising the problem parts.
6. Systematicaly do your daily study routine, no compromise over your daily study routine.
All the best

TIP for therory answers...BY Sneha Bagla
Dear all,
Practical questions are definitely the high scoring area. But if you rely only on the practical part you are digging your own grave. It has been a widespread diesease in students as they tend to ignore the theory part (specially in boys..Oh PLEASEEEEE.....no chauvinism !!!! ..that's a bitter truth..ok..back to the topic).
I always believed that theory part is very important to score in practical papers like Taxation and Cost. So,do not ignore it at any cost or you have to pay.(paper tough aaya to theory hi aapko bachayegi). We can look at this aspect in 2 stages-preparation and writing in the exam.
A.PREPARATIONS-
Books are thick ,we all know that...IN A PROFESSIONAL EXAM YOU CANNOT LEARN 100% by heart...that's the truth and we gotto accept it.The earlier, the better.Keep an eye on the scanner side by side. Here are a few tips-
1.PAINT YOUR BOOK-- yeah..you heard right.ready with your pencil and rubber...get set ..GO!!!.......no...wait...no cartoons and sketches please!!
With each topic in theory subjects like Information technology,Strategic Management ..make it a habit to write the gist of the paragraph on the side with a pencil so that you do not have to get back to the whole paragraph again. It will be very very condusive at time of revision.
There are many topics which are too lengthy and reading the whole content from the beginning is not possible. AND there is no better option than the institute's material in Information tech. and Strategic Management . SO it might sound boring and laborious but it will surely pay off.Trust me it will work wonders.
2.NOTES-I was never a firm believer in making lengthy notes.Notes are definitely needed for a subject like TAXATION. But for other subjects ...well books have the required content in easy language . And if you find some topic confusing or hard to digest from the book then make good and short notes on it. YOU ARE GOING TO BE A PROFESSIONAL.YOU NEED NOT TO MAKE NOTES AS A MATTER OF FORMALITY.TRY OPTION 1 (paint your book ) instead.Views over this point can differ with different people.Use compiler in costing and financial management coz the content in theory is a bit too much so main book is not a very tempting option.
B.HOW TO WRITE????
Well o well, theory writing is an art.Try to think from examiner's point of view.Keep the following 2 points in mind considering the time factor and speed which varies from student to student.BELIEVE ME THIS CAN PROVE TO BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A ZINXED 39 and A SPARKLING 40.There can be 2 possibilities-
1. YOU ARE CONFIDENT ABOUT THE ANSWER-
You need to write in such a way that the teacher does not get a scope to deduct marks. Marks in theory depend a lot on the examiner.5 on 5 might not be on cards but 4.5 upon 5 is definitely achievable.Just don't let the offer go begging.Who said that we need to write only 5 points in a 5 marks answer????anyone??no one i guess...So...my friend ..try to be on the safe side...write 1-2 points extra so that the examiner doesn't get scope to deduct 1-2 marks.
2.YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT ABOUT THE ANSWER( high probability ..hehehe )
Even though you don't know the exact answer , you need to present your answer in such a way that the teacher gives you 20%-30% marks ..are kuch to milega na..0 se acha 1...As a student of a highly reputed course,we believe that the students know at least something about the topic which will enable you to write something about it...even though not exactly correct but somewhere in proximity. The golden rule always comes in handy here-IF YOU CAN'T CONVINCE THEN CONFUSE THEM.(Do not forget to keep an eye on the clock).
DO NOT SIT IDLE IN THE EXAM HALL EVEN FOR A MINUTE.ITS A CRIME.Write something...something...if not this then that....anything...yeah...come on...apply your brain...kahan padha tha???.yeah you read something about the topic...somewhere??something??little little??.YES!!!! YES!!!..its clicking...here you are,...spot on.....!!!pheewww..!!!
who knows what's in store for the future......If you won't try ,then how can even God help you???GIVE YOUR DESTINY A CHANCE MY FRIEND..
Hope these tips and trick from a naughty mind of mine were of some help.Good luck.My views might look stupid to some people but ....main to aisi hi hoon..shaitaani dimaag hai..maano ya na maano...hehhehe..!!!
Regards,
Sneha

Complete Guide to Become A Successful Chartered Accountant
To become a successful CA is your ultimate Aim. So your mission is “To become a Successful CA”. This mission is long term goal.
To become CA is a good goal. Any one can take this decision. Every one is pretty success in their long term goal.
Every goal requires systematic execution.
1) Planning daily routine study
Plan your daily routine according to the group you are going to write and your specific goal such as Rank.
Specific action plan for tough subject
You are required to identify toughest subject, allot more time and specific action plan to improve toughest subject. Normally students spend more time in interesting and easy subject and not giving due weightage for difficult subject. If a subject is tough, then think counter plan to make the subject easy by more involvement in the subject or attending best coaching classes.
Best Reference book along with ICAI study materials
I highly recommend buying best and good reference book and keeping the ICAI materials as reference book. A good book can make the study process interesting and easy. A best reference book can become your Good teacher and can make the subject easier.
You have to plan according to your strength and weakness. Never plan both group, if some of your friends are writing both group. Like wise never join a coaching classes where some of your friends are going.
Coaching is like a medicine and its usage may be differing from person to person. Correct dosage of medicine is required. Take good coaching for toughest subject only and rest you can manage own your own.
2) Daily routine study
It is a second essential requirement. First you are required to make a daily time table and try to stick on that. Never mind even if you are not carrying studies according to your time tables.
Allocate difficult subject in your most productive time and easier subject in your most exhausted time.
I am highly recommended to write a Mission statement in your study room say, “towards Rank”. See this mission statement on a daily basis. See this mission statement and evaluate with your selves where are you stand in terms of mission.
How much time you are doing practise, to that extent you will improve. It is Isaac newtons Third law “For every action, there is equal and opposite Re action.
3) Systematic study
You are doing professional course and hence your best approaches in colleges and schools may be a failure.
How to do a systematic study?? Never do a by heart method of study. If you follow a practise of doing by heart method, may be fail in front of a practical question.
You have to read the subject with full concentration. Try to understand the logic behind it and you are advised to note the logic and concepts in a note book. In text book you can mark important area with light marker pen.
You are compulsorily required to write down in a note book in your way and language. Good notes must contain heading, Points with key words. If you read the key words you can reach to the logics.
4) Periodical revisions
You are required to revise what you had learned in a good quick section. I highly recommend in initial stages to find some time to remember what you had learned a particular day. If you careless in revision aspect, you will be a poor learner.
5) Two round coverage before exam
You must compulsory cover at least one round of studies before study leave and do one round of studies during your study leave sessions. In this stage, you are requested to look in to suggested answers and scanners and more specific to your examinations.
6) Test papers
I strongly recommend writing test papers conducted by ICAI etc before you are going to take the real exam. Even if you had prepared not well also can take such test papers. Else, you may be taking real match without net practise and may be out in the first ball.
All the best
