Eligibility for Industrial training

1.An articled clerk who has passed the Professional Education (Examination - II) or the Intermediate examination under these regulations may, at his discretion, serve as an industrial trainee for the period specified in sub-regulation (2) in any of the financial, commercial, industrial undertakings with minimum fixed assets of Rs. 1 crore; or minimum total turnover of Rs. 10 crores; or minimum paid-up share chapital Rs. 50 lakhs; or such other Institute or organisation as may be approved by the Council from time to time:

Provided that the articled clerk has intimated to his Principal his intention to take such industrial training at least three months before the date on which such training is to commence.";

2.The period of industrial training may range between nine months and twelve months during the last year of the prescribed period of practical training.

3.The industrial training shall be received under a member of the Institute. An Associate who has been a member for continuous period of at least three years shall be entitled to train one industrial trainee at a time and a fellow shall be entitled to train two industrial trainees at a time, whether such trainees be articled clerks or audit clerks.

4.An agreement of training shall be entered into in the form approved by the Council.

5.On satisfactory completion of the Industrial training, the member training the industrial trainee, shall forthwith issue to the trainee a certificate in the form** approved by the Council in respect of the training undergone under him and forward a copy thereof to the Secretary.

6.The period of industrial training referred to under this regulation, should be treated as service under articles for all purposes of these regulations, provided the certificate referred to in sub-regulation (5) is provided.

i have just cleared my ipcc both group but haven't done my article ship training for not even for one month,can i start my industrial training first & then go for the article ship?

Dear Rashmi

you are eligible for industrial training. For this purpose you have to send the resume to the concerned company and also have to submit transfer form which is duly filled by your principal

I think your total leave will be limited to those of articleship. If you already took any leave then it will be reduced accordingly

Sir i am in ca final, i cleared IPCC both group in first attempt and i want to do industrial training, so sir kindly tell me the procedure to apply to the same and also how to approach to the industries for the industrial training ???

For Industrial training procedure is similar to transfer of articleship. Provided it will be have during the last one year of your articleshhip only

However, company will select you on the basis of work profile which you have submitted to them..

my last year of arcticleship is commencing from sept'12. so i want to know first i should apply for industrial training in various corporates or first i should take transfer in my firm. what will be the proceedure & do principals of the firm appreciate this idea & will allow the transfer so required??

i want to know that only one who has cleared his IPCC exam in 1st attempt only he/she can appear for industrial training. plz tell me the compnies who provide the same training.

Sir i am shikha,i want to know that on feb'13 i will complete my 2nd year of articleship. My ca final attempt is due on november'13 .so whether i should appply for training before exams or after exams.

Respected sir,
I have completed IPCC EXAM group-1 in Nov.2011 & group-2 in May 2012. Am I eligible for INDUSTRIAL TRAINING ?

Dear sir,

i have passed both the groups of ipcc and completed 1 year and 8 months of articleship, i want to join Industrial training,,, My principle is not giving me transfer in 2nd year ,, there is any boundation from CA that without his consultant, i can't join.
